Booking FAQs and Terms & Conditions


Making a booking for one of Theatre Workout's drama summer school courses is easy! Simply visit the contact us page and select the course you want to book and we'll get back to you within 48 hours.

If you want to book a private course for a group simply tell us what you want to do, when you want to do it, and who will be taking part, then leave it to us to make all the arrangements!

Q: Where will my workshop/course take place?
A: Venue names are always listed on your invoice and other booking documents and may vary from once course to another.

Q: How much do workshops cost? 

A: Prices vary from one course to another and are listed on each course page. All prices include VAT.

Q: Who leads the workshops? 

A: All Theatre Workout workshops and courses are led by trained, professional theatre practitioners including actors, singers, dancers, directors, fight directors, make-up artists etc. Many of our team have performed in the West End, on national tours or have credits with companies like the RSC and National Theatre. Some have their own production companies but all have extensive experience leading workshops and have received training from Theatre Workout. All Theatre Workout practitioners are DBS (formerly CRB) checked and are covered by Theatre Workout's public liability insurance.

Q: What is the youngest age Theatre Workout caters for? 
As a guide, seven is the youngest age Theatre Workout caters for, but exceptions may apply. There is no upper age limit, but most courses are arranged as 7-11, 12-15 and 16+. If you have a private group, any age group can be catered for. 


Q: How do I book my course?

A: You can book your course here. Once we receive your request we will send you an invoice to pay 10% deposit within two weeks to secure your place. Full payment is required no later than 6 weeks before the start of the course. Payment details will be on your invoice. You can pay by bank transfer, cheque or by card via Pay Pal. All payments are non-refundable unless the course is cancelled by Theatre Workout. 

Bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Q: I have a special offer. How do I claim it? 

A: Simply quote your offer at the time of booking. Offers are only for new bookings and cannot be applied to existing reservations or paid for bookings. Only one offer is permitted per student per booking. Payment deadlines must be met and out of date offers will not be honoured, except with written agreement from Theatre Workout Academy. Most offers must be paid in full. 


Q: I need to change or cancel my booking - is that possible?

A: Bookings may be changed with the consent of Theatre Workout Academy. 

Deposits are non-refundable. Fully paid for bookings may be cancelled up to 90 days before the event start date without charge, minus any non-refundable deposit paid. Cancellations within 60 days will incur a 30% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 45 days will incur a 75% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable. 

Q: How will my data be used?

A: Data obtained through any communication with Theatre Workout will never be sold to other organisations. It may be used for research, development and marketing purposes by Theatre Workout, and may be shared internally when preparing course content. Your data may be shared with third party organisations where necessary for the delivery of your booked activities or services. 

Any client data provided by trade partners will only be used when liaising with students regarding specific courses booked. Theatre Workout will not use such data for any marketing purposes. 

Q: Is Theatre Workout insured?

A: Yes. We hold public and product liability insurance up to £2m and employer liability insurance. Any person taking part in our services is protected in the event of cancellation of the programme by Theatre Workout, accident or injury during any programmed activities as part of their booking.


Clients are encouraged to secure their own private travel insurance where necessary, especially if travelling from outside the UK. 


Q: I want to complain, who do I contact?

A: We take complaints seriously and aim to ensure all our clients receive the best possible service by Theatre Workout, its partners and suppliers. 


For clarity of information, complaints can only be accepted in writing by email. Please contact Theatre Workout on with full details of your complaint, so we can log it against your booking and investigate with suppliers, practitioners, venues, etc.

For third party bookings, if the fault is not Theatre Workout's and a refund is offered by a supplier, this will be returned to you minus any booking fees charged by Theatre Workout at the time of booking that service. No extra fees are charged by Theatre Workout for arranging refunds or compensation where due.
